My research focuses on the relaxation phenomena of excited states in low-dimensional colloidal nanostructures, such as semiconductor quantum dots. I am also interested in the ultra low-frequency vibrational dynamics of such nanostructures. Previously, I worked with various lanthanide-doped materials and silicon-rich silicon oxide thin films. My primary areas of expertise are Raman and time-resolved spectroscopy of various emerging nanostructures.

The main topics of my research include:

  • Non-exponential relaxation dynamics of excited states in disordered solid-state materials.
  • Radiative decay of semiconductor quantum dots in dielectric media and photonic materials.
  • The development of new methods for statistical analysis and interpretation of non-exponential luminescence decay data.
  • Quantum confinement of optical and acoustic phonons in low-dimensional semiconductor structures.
  • Applications of colloidal semiconductor quantum dots in light-emitting devices.
