I am a researcher and academic teacher in the Department of Experimental Physics at the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology of Wrocław University of Science and Technology in Wrocław, Poland. I earned a PhD in Physics in 2011, and my primary area of expertise is Solid State Physics.
My research focuses on the relaxation phenomena of excited states in low-dimensional colloidal nanostructures, such as semiconductor quantum dots. I am also interested in the ultra low-frequency vibrational dynamics of such nanostructures. Previously, I worked with various lanthanide-doped materials and silicon-rich silicon oxide thin films. My primary areas of expertise are Raman and time-resolved spectroscopy of various emerging nanostructures.
I am a member of the Laboratory for Optical Spectroscopy of Nanostructures, a group that studies different low-dimensional semiconductor structures, both theoretically and experimentally.

- Non-exponential relaxation dynamics of excited states in disordered solid-state materials.
- Radiative decay of semiconductor quantum dots in dielectric media and photonic materials.
- The development of new methods for statistical analysis and interpretation of non-exponential luminescence decay data.
- Quantum confinement of optical and acoustic phonons in low-dimensional semiconductor structures.
- Applications of colloidal semiconductor quantum dots in light-emitting devices.
